Luke George Evans began his career performing in productions such as Rent, Miss Saigon, and Piaf before getting his breakthrough role starring in Clash of the Titans. Evans was then cast in Immortals, The Raven, and The Three Musketeers. He also portrayed the main antagonist Owen Shaw in Fast & Furious 6, and Bard the Bowman in Peter Jackson's three-part adaptation of J. R. R. Tolkien's The Hobbit.

Evans also portrayed the vampire Dracula in Dracula Untold and starred as Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, as well as William Moulton Marston in the biographical drama Professor Marston and the Wonder Women.
